IDENTITY BEYOND THE OUTSIDE

EXODUS 12:42–51

At a relief centre during the West African Ebola outbreak, only registered health workers could enter high-risk zones. One volunteer was turned back until properly cleared—identity mattered. Likewise, God requires a spiritual mark, not outward form, to belong to Him.

God commanded that only the circumcised may eat the Passover. This covenant sign set Israel apart as His people. Foreigners could partake only after accepting this mark, showing full inclusion in God’s covenant community.

Today, spiritual circumcision means a transformed heart. Mere religion is not enough; true belonging requires inner renewal through Christ. We must turn from sin and live as God’s people, wholly committed to Him, ready to share in His eternal promises.

🙏 May the Lord cleanse your heart and make you truly His, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
