LUKE 22:24-27
Jesus washed His disciples’ feet even though it was not necessary for Him to do so (John 13:5). He had the option to serve them as opposed to the servants who were assigned to that task. We are urged to strive to “be somebody,” according to today’s culture. We aspire to hold the highest position in an organisation, the highest office in the church, and the best paying job. In any case, we can learn to serve from our Saviour no matter what position we are in.
As parents, children, friends, coworkers, leaders, or students, we each play diverse roles in society. Do we perform such tasks in a service-oriented manner? Even though our daily schedule can occasionally be taxing, the Master will assist us if we decide to follow His example and voluntarily serve others.
May God grant us the ability to accomplish this each day.
🙏🏻 Jesus, sometimes we fail to think of others, but we want to be like You. Please give us hearts like Yours.
