2 KINGS 6:8–17
A dog and his owner set out to check on animals. They rode in a small utility truck, but the man forgot to put the brake on when he went out of the car with his dog in it, causing the vehicle to roll down a hill and across traffic, causing confusion for motorists as some thought the dog was out for a morning drive. Indeed, things are not always as they seem.
Elisha and his servant were threatened by the King of Aram’s forces. Elisha reassured his servant that those with them were more powerful than those with the enemy. Through prayer, the servant saw the supernatural forces protecting them.
In situations that seem hopeless, we must remember that God is by our side, commanding His angels to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11).
When we remember that God is with us, everything always seems better than it is.
