HEBREWS 2:1–4
My wife and I stopped at a beach resort for snacks and observed the boats at the seashore, which are usually anchored to prevent drifting away. However, we noticed one boat drifting unhindered, slowly and steadily out to sea.
The book of Hebrews warns believers to pay close attention to their faith, stating that while Mosaic law is reliable, the message of the Son of God is superior. The author says that our salvation is so great in Jesus that He should not be ignored, emphasising the importance of staying close to the teachings of the Bible.
Drifting in our relationship with God is gradual and can be managed by regular prayer, reading of His Word, confessing our wrongs, and interacting with other followers of Jesus. Regular connection with the Lord ensures His faithfulness and helps avoid drifting away.
