ISAIAH 49:13-21
At her mother’s 50th birthday celebration, the firstborn daughter shared her mother’s sacrifices for her, including selling her jewellery and belongings to support her through high school. Despite the hardships, she emphasised that her mother never abandoned her or her siblings.
God compared His love for His people to a mother’s love for her child. The people of Israel complained about being abandoned, but God replied that He would not forget them! (v. 15).
We may be abandoned by men, but God never abandons us. It is a great encouragement that the Lord says He has engraved us on the palms of His hands (v. 16) to indicate how much He knows and protects us. God will never forsake His own.
🙏 Thank You, Lord, that we are Yours forever. We are thankful that we will never have to walk through any experience alone.
