MARK 14:1β9
Lilias Trotter, a missionary and artist, got a vision of a celestial chariot just before she passed away. βAre you seeing many beautiful things?β a friend questioned, according to her biographer. “Yes, many, many beautiful things,” she replied.
Throughout her life, Trotter, a gifted artist, reflected God’s beauty by choosing to serve Jesus as a missionary in Algeria. She was trained by renowned painter John Ruskin, who reportedly remarked, “What a waste,” when she decided to pursue a career in the mission field rather than art.
In the New Testament, a woman poured perfume on Jesus’s head, despite some assuming it could help the poor. Jesus praised her devotion and said she did a beautiful thing.
We can choose to let Christ’s life shine in our lives, serving Him with willing hearts, and may Jesus praise our beautiful actions.
π I pray that your life will display the beauty of Jesus, and may God remember all your sacrifices and look upon you with favour.
