Sports fans proudly show their support by wearing logos, posting on Facebook, and discussing their teams with friends. They leave no doubt where their loyalty stands.
Our sports loyalties can remind us that our greatest loyalty should be to our Lord. This unashamed loyalty is demonstrated in Psalm 34, which emphasises someone who is far more significant than anything on earth.
David declares he will praise the Lord always, and this challenges us to consider how we often forget Him as our source of blessing and salvation.
Enjoying teams, interests, and accomplishments is fine, but we must glorify the Lord above all and without shame.
🙏Lord, grant Your children boldness to speak forth Your word and testify of Your goodness.
