JOHN 13:34-35
We do not have to try to look like our parents. Whether it is our mother’s eyes or our father’s ear, we inherit many of their physical features naturally. But how closely do we look like our Heavenly Father? When people look at us do they recognize us as His children?
Scripture says there is one thing that identifies us as followers of Christ and God’s children – our love.
People will identify us as God’s children (Christians) if our lives reflect His love. What does this love look like? It is kind; it is caring; does not envy; is not puffed up; it is patient; it forgives our enemies; does not seek revenge or harbour anger (1 Corinthians 13).
