LOOKALIKES

2 CORINTHIANS 3:17–4:2

We all possess a Doppelganger, also known as Lookalikes, who are unrelated individuals who appear very much like us.

I was once mistaken for another person whom a fellow said looked exactly like me, even though I have never seen this lookalike.

Reflecting on 2 Corinthians 3:18, Paul emphasises that we are being transformed into the Lord’s image. As we strive to honour Jesus, we aim to take on His image. This does not require physical appearances, but rather the Holy Spirit helps us demonstrate Christlike characteristics in our lives. This includes humility, love, and compassion, which are essential for us to look like Jesus and imitate Him.

By focusing on Jesus and contemplating His glory, we can grow more like Him, and it would be amazing if people could see Jesus in us.

🎶Oh! to be like Thee, oh! to be like Thee,

Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art;

Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;

Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.
