JOHN 5:17–20
A child often mimics his father, holding his imaginary steering wheel in a car seat and closely monitoring to see what Daddy does next.
I recall enjoying doing the same thing as my father drove his car, and he was happy watching me imitate him.
God must have felt good when He saw His Son doing the same things as Himself. Jesus could only do what the Father does (John 5:19).
We are called to follow God’s example as loved children, living in love, forgiveness, care, and living in ways that please Him. By copying His actions, we can enjoy the affectionate smile of a loving Father.
🙏Lord Jesus, help us to be more and more like you and the Father each day.
