MATTHEW 18:1-5; 19:13-14
A mother was taken aback by a question one evening many years ago after she had prayed a good night prayer with her daughter, then two years old. Her daughter asked, “Mom, where is Jesus?”
The woman said, “Jesus is in heaven, and He is everywhere, right here with us.” “And if you invite Him in, He can reside in your heart.”
“I want to ask Him right now to be in my heart,” said her daughter.
Her little child prayed, “Jesus, please enter my heart and stay with me.” Her journey of faith with Him began at that point.
Jesus used a little child as an example to teach His disciples, stating that entering the kingdom of heaven would be impossible without changing and becoming like little children.
He portrayed a trusting child as an example of faith.
