KNOWING BETTER

2 KINGS 22:1–4, 8-13

Despite consulting specialists, the child’s growth was limited. After three years, they discovered severe food intolerances. After eliminating these items, he grew five inches in just a few months, and his health surge was a joy.

Like the improvements in the child’s life, Josiah, who was lauded for doing what was right in the sight of the Lord (v. 2), did even better after discovering the law. He became more aware of how to honour God. Using what he had learnt, he guided the people back to worship as God had commanded (2 Kings 23:22–23).

We could be grieving over the ways we have failed to live up to God’s expectations of us, even while the Bible teaches us how to honour Him. Nevertheless, we have solace in the knowledge that He restores, heals, and gently guides us towards a greater comprehension. As we open up to His guidance, we will become a better version of ourselves.

🙏Thank You, God, for showing us how to live in ways that please You.
