DEUTERONOMY 10:12–19
In a village, a poor family welcomed travellers passing through. Though they had little, they offered warm smiles, fresh water, and willingly shared their last meal. Before the visitors left, the family even gave them fruits from their small garden. The travellers were deeply moved by such kindness.
This reflects God’s command to the Israelites: to love Him, walk in His ways, and serve Him with all their hearts (Deuteronomy 10:12). He reminded them to love strangers, remembering their own time as foreigners in Egypt (v. 19).
Today, we too can show God’s love through simple acts of hospitality—offering kindness, sharing meals, or welcoming others with open hearts and joyful service.
🙏 May God help us to welcome strangers, even in these uncertain times, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
