HEBREWS 12:1–3
Joshua Bell, a well-known violinist, conducts the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, a 44-individual chamber orchestra, in an unconventional manner. He leads the other violinists while playing his Stradivarius, not by brandishing a baton. He told a Colorado Public Radio that while he is playing, he can give them all kinds of directions and signals that he thinks only they would understand. They are aware of the orchestral tone that he wants.
As the musicians observe Joshua Bell, so the Bible commands us to focus on Jesus, our Lord (Hebrews 12:1–2).
We have the incredible advantage of being able to focus on Him as He leads the music of our lives.
