EPHESIANS 2:1–9
A restaurant was initially started by a local church and transformed a year later to offer everything on the menu free. The managers felt God called them to do something radical, making everything on the menu free with no donation bag, making it a gift rather than a cost.
Jesus gave His life to save us from sin and to make peace between God and us. He is now living since He rose from the dead. Because of Christ, every wrong thing we have done can be forgiven, and we can have fresh life today (Ephesians 2:1–5). The fact that everything is free is the most wonderful part of this. We cannot buy the new life Jesus gives. Not even a donation towards the expense is possible. Everything is a gift.
People can see God’s generosity as the restaurant customers enjoy their meals and drinks. Because Jesus paid the price, eternal life is freely offered to us.
“And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
Revelation 22:17
