Jesus took time to be alone in prayer during his public ministry. After feeding 5,000 people, he went alone to pray on a mountainside after dismissing the crowd.
Jesus believed in solitude, and we need daily solitude to focus on God, ponder His Word, and follow His directions. A quiet room, an empty page, and the willingness to listen are essential for spiritual growth.
Like Jesus, we can enter a horrific storm from that serene place knowing exactly what the Father wants us to do (vv. 24-27).
