MATTHEW 7:24-27
The parable of two house builders (one wise and one foolish) is a summation and conclusion to the entire Sermon on the Mount.
Jesus (and all He stands for) is the rock and the house is our life. If we build our houses on the sand, everything will be washed away when the rains come. But if we have built on the rock, our house will be able to stand against the worst of storms. Whatever plans we make for our future need to have Jesus in them. When we stand on Him as our Rock, we are secure. Anywhere else is on top of sinking sand.
