LUKE 24:1-31
At nineteen, a close friend was killed in a car accident, leaving me in a state of grief. The pain of losing such a young and wonderful person clouded my vision, making me unaware of my surroundings and unable to see God.
In Luke 24, two disciples, confused and broken after Jesus’s death, did not know they were walking with their resurrected Teacher. Jesus explained the resurrection and the reason for His death. When He broke bread, their eyes were opened. Jesus showed them hope and showed them how to face life again.
We may experience confusion or grief, but we can find hope and comfort in the reality that Jesus is alive and working in the world and within us. Despite facing heartache and pain, we can welcome Christ to walk with us, as the Light of the world, and bring hope to brighten our fog.
🙏 Lord Jesus, thank You for being the light in the darkness. Bring hope when Your people are sad and confused, and help them to see Your glory.
