PHILIPPIANS 3:12-4:1
Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, China, is a stunning mountain known for its towering cliffs. Visitors can experience its beauty by taking the Tianmen Shan cable car, which covers 7,455 metres (4.5 miles). It is incredible that this cable car, which has no engine on board, can traverse such great distances and climb such steep heights. The cable car’s impressive feat is truly remarkable.
In our faith journey, we must focus on Christ, like a cable car, to finish the race and win the prize God has called us to in Christ Jesus. We have limited resources, so we rely on Christ to guide us through the greatest challenges and safely return home. Paul emphasises the importance of standing firm in the Lord.
Paul declared towards the end of his earthly life that he had fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:2). We are encouraged to just have a firm hold on Christ.
