HIDE-AND-SEEK

GENESIS 3:8-9.

It is in our nature to run. Since the fall of man, we have been running away from God. Adam and Eve, after eating of the fruit God told them not to eat, began the first hide-and-seek game. And God, not like a policeman looking for a criminal, but a Father searching for His lost child looked for them. And we have been playing that with God since then.

Today I want to talk about running from God. Yes, you and I both run. And the sad part is that we could be sitting in Church and still running from God. But why?

We have all kinds of reasons why we run from God – the pastor disappointed us, our prayers seemed not to be receiving answers, we got burned out from giving our all when little is coming back in return, etc.

Now if you are on the run, relax for a moment. Think again. Where are you really running to? How much satisfaction will you receive there? So? Why not come back to the family of believers. Your Lover and Saviour is waiting for you. He has been searching since you began the hide-and-seek game. He still cares.
