PROVERBS 23:9–12
In a rural African village, a man once set off to visit his cousin’s farm but followed the wrong footpath. Hours later, he found himself deep in the forest, far from his destination. He had asked for directions from someone who did not know the way.
Proverbs reminds us not to listen to fools who reject wisdom (v. 9), but to apply our hearts to instruction (v. 12). When we seek direction from the wrong voices, we lose our way.
But when we open our ears to God’s Word and the counsel of the wise, we receive clear guidance. God’s wisdom leads us not into confusion—but into peace, purpose, and life.
🙏 May your ears and heart incline towards wisdom. May you be open to God’s truth and reject every form of foolishness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
