1 KINGS 19:9–13
In a village, young boys often gathered around the fire at night, telling stories and laughing loudly. But one evening, a wise elder asked them to sit in silence and listen to the night. At first, it felt strange, but soon they heard crickets, rustling leaves, and the soft wind. The elder smiled and said, “Now you are ready to hear what the world often hides in its noise.”
Elijah also discovered this truth. He did not hear God in the wind, earthquake, or fire, but in a gentle whisper.
Sometimes, God speaks not through loud miracles, but in stillness. We must quiet our hearts to truly hear His voice.
