1 JOHN 3:1–8
They took out their 22-month-old granddaughter for the first time without her older brothers and gave her love and attention. She was eager to go with them, ready for more individualised time.
Despite her inability to express it verbally at this time, she feels appreciated and loved. Their affection for her, in a tiny way, shows a reflection of God’s love for us, His children (John 3:1).
We become His children and start to comprehend the abundant love that Jesus showed us by giving His life in order to save us when we accept Him as our Saviour (v. 16). Our goal becomes to love God and be eager to spend time with Him, as well as to please Him in all we say and do (v. 6).
🙏Dear Lord, thank You for loving us so much that You died for us.
