1 PETER 4:7–11
In an African village, two elders—once bitter rivals over land—learnt to reconcile when the chief, inspired by love, called for unity. Though one had insulted the other deeply, forgiveness blossomed like the baobab’s roots after rain. They later stood side by side, leading their people in peace.
Peter urged us to love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
Like Jesus forgiving Peter after his denial, we are called to forgive. Christ’s love restores broken relationships—between us and God, and among one another—giving us strength to forgive and walk together in grace.
🙏 May the Lord Jesus Christ grant you the grace to forgive and reconcile when the need arises. Amen.
