GRACE IN YOUR OWN LANE

JOHN 21:17–25

At the marketplace, traders proudly display their finest fruits and other items. But behind each perfect display are bruised fruits and less presentable goods.

Similarly, social media often shows only the best parts of our lives—inviting comparisons that can leave us feeling inadequate.

Peter was also trying to compare his own journey. When Jesus told him about his future, Peter glanced at John and asked, “What shall this man do? Jesus replied, “What is that thee? Follow thou me” (John 21:22).

Jesus’ words remind us not to compare our journey with others’. Just as each trader’s path to market is different, so is our walk with God. He calls us to focus on Him, where we find peace—not pressure—in His presence.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

🙏 May the Lord Jesus help you to be satisfied in Him and that which He has blessed you with. Amen.
