EXODUS 13:17-22
A church had been under construction for at least 8 years, but the pastor and members were not worried. On the contrary, they were enthusiastic about what God was doing and were patient with His timing.
We are often not that patient. We want our church to grow quickly, our young converts to mature immediately, and our problems to be resolved today.
We need to remember that some things take time and God has His timing. For example, when the Israelites left Egypt, God led them along the long road to the Promised Land. During this time, he prepared, taught and challenged them.
In our fast moving world, we want it all done right away, but sometimes that is not God’s plan. We must learn to seek His help and accept His timing.
God’s timepiece may move slowly, but it does move surely.
