2 CHRONICLES 16:6-13
Boxing has a distinct feature. The athletes participate in the events in order to show off their superior power. It is similar to arm wrestling in that you do it to show that you are more powerful than your opponent.
God’s overwhelming strength is one facet of His grandeur. But how does He demonstrate His power? He does it on behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9).
Throughout the Bible, He follows a similar pattern. Our Almighty God has decided to exhibit His might to bless, keep, and defend His people, from the parting of the Red Sea to sending manna in the wilderness, to the miraculous virgin birth, and ultimately to the power of the resurrection.
You can be assured that He enjoys demonstrating His power in the midst of our challenges. Let us remember to give Him honour when He displays His power on our behalf!
God’s promises are backed up by His knowledge, love, and power.
