GOD’S FINGERPRINT

EPHESIANS 2:1–10

Lygon Stevens was a mountain climber, as was her brother Nick. An avalanche carried them off a mountain, killing Lygon and wounding Nick. Nick came upon Lygon’s journal, which was chock-full of prayers, reflections, and thanksgiving. She wrote in her journal that she was a piece of art that God had signed.

Despite her demise, Lygon’s journal and legacy continue to motivate and uplift those she left behind.

Since every one of us was made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26), we are all divinely signed pieces of art. The apostle Paul claims in Ephesians 2:10 that we are God’s “workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” We ought to be grateful to God for using each of us to help others in His own way and at His own time.

🙏 Dear God, make each of your children a unique expression of your loving design.
