1 SAMUEL 9:1–10
There is a street called Godliman Street in London. It is said that a man once lived there, whose life was so holy that his street was called “that godly man’s street.” This made me think of a story from the Old Testament.
Saul’s father sent his son and servant to search for wandering donkeys, but they spent days searching but couldn’t find them.
Saul was ready to give up and go home, but his servant pointed towards Ramah, the village of the prophet Samuel. He suggested they go there to meet a respected man of God who would guide them on their path. Samuel had sought friendship and fellowship with God throughout his life, and his words were filled with truth.
Our lives should reflect Jesus, leaving a lasting mark on our neighbourhoods and ensuring the memory of our godliness remains lingering.
🙏Lord Jesus, may we be close to you and be a light in our corner of the world.
