EXODUS 4:10-17
Billy Graham, a well-known evangelist, once said, “Let me tell you: every time I stand before the congregation of God’s people to preach, I tremble and my knees wobble!”
How is it possible for such a renowned preacher, whose stirring speeches have enthralled millions, to have shaky knees? Then he continued by describing great humility and meekness rather than anxiety and stage fright, as he felt unqualified for the difficult duty to which God had called him. Instead of relying on his own eloquence, he sought strength from God.
God sent Moses to free the Israelites who were held as slaves in Egypt, but Moses felt unqualified for the task.
When God asks us to perform anything for Him, we could have comparable fears and concerns. However, His words to Moses that encouraged him might also motivate us: “Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.” (v.12 kjv).
🙏🏻 Whatever task You have for me to do today, help me to accomplish them in Jesus’ name.
