GETTING NEAR GOD

HEBREWS 4:14–16; PSALM 73:28

When she saw an empty chair, the woman who wanted to pray kneeled down in front of it. She begged her heavenly father to have a seat, crying, saying, “You and I need to talk.” She prayed then, her eyes fixed on the empty chair. She approached the Lord with assurance, as if He were seated on the chair and paying attention to her request.

Engaging with God is a crucial moment, as it brings God near to us through mutual involvement. He assures us that He is always with us, and our heavenly Father is always ready to listen and respond to our prayers.

During times of weakness or temptation, we are encouraged to approach God’s throne of grace with confidence. This allows us to receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:15-16).

🙏Thank you, Lord, for the ability to pray in all places and times. Help us to approach you with faith and confidence.
