PSALM 78:1–8
The phrase “Prepare the child for the road, not the road for the child” is frequently used on parenting websites, suggesting that instead of removing obstacles, we should equip children to handle the challenges they may face.
The psalmist talked of teaching the next generation about the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and wonders. The goal is for them to trust in God and follow His commands.
The spiritual impact of older people, through their words and actions, can greatly influence the younger generation.
Sharing God’s Word and plan for our lives with future generations is a privilege and responsibility, ensuring they are prepared and equipped to face life’s challenges with the strength of the Lord.
🙏 Heavenly Father, help us to prepare the children we know and love for a faith-filled walk with you.
