ACTS 13:36
I have met people who are angry and mad at this world. At times they even go as far as wishing to die. But death had refused to come to them.
Perhaps life is very hard for us or a loved one, and we are wondering why God has allowed us or our loved one to remain alive.
God has a wise and loving purpose in leaving us here on earth. There is work to be done by us that can only be accomplished here on earth. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17). Our presence may also be for the purpose of giving others an opportunity to learn love and compassion (which they need to show to us).
Though things may not go as we wish, God has His reasons. No doubt about it! We are still here for a purpose.
Rather than allow frustration or anger pull us down, let us fulfil our God assigned purpose while we are yet alive.
*Help us Lord to remember You are still in control. May we fulfil our purposes on earth in Jesus’ name. Amen.
