ACTS 8:26–40
“Where’s Waldo?” is a popular children’s book series featuring a cartoonish character, Waldo, who hides in crowded scenes, inviting children to find him. Parents also enjoy the sweet moments of discovery and helping their children find him.
Stephen’s death led to persecution against Christians, leading many to flee Jerusalem. Deacon Philip followed the fleeing Christians to Samaria, where he proclaimed Christ well. The Holy Spirit sent him on a special mission to the desert road, where he helped an Ethiopian court official find Jesus in the pages of the book of Isaiah.
We often have the opportunity to help others “find Jesus” through the Scriptures, allowing them to know Him more fully. This can be exhilarating. May we be prepared to share Christ.
🙏Lord Jesus, show us how to live our lives in such a way that people see you in us, and also help us lead them to find you.
