PROVERBS 10:22
When we pray for financial blessings, we need to ask God to show us whatever we need to see about our finances too. Are we experiencing financial shortfall? Do we need to cut expenses? Live a simpler and less expensive lifestyle? Sell something? Change our jobs? Be wiser in our financial decisions? Give more to Him and to others? Or simply seek Him first and more for everything and learn to depend on Him for all our needs?
The Psalmist said that he had never seen the righteous forsaken, or their descendants begging for bread. Also, those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. Again, a little sleep, slumber and folding of the hands (refusing to work hard) and poverty will deal with us. (Psalm 37:25; Psalm 34:10; Psalm 24:33-34)
If we live as God wants us to live, seek Him for wisdom to guide us in all financial matters, and work hard (not live lazy lives), by His grace, it will be well with us.
