LAMENTATIONS 3:19–26
The pastor, amidst the music-filled sanctuary, reflected on the past year’s prayers, the grief and joy experienced by the congregation. He recalled the changes and healings experienced, as well as the joy of celebrating victories, weddings, graduations, baptisms, and welcoming children into God’s family.
He reflected on the trials faced by the church members, comparing it to Jeremiah’s “affliction” and “misery” in Lamentation 3:19. He believed that God’s love and compassion never fail, and that God is good to those who hope in Him.
The congregational gathering exemplified God’s life-transforming love, demonstrating our dependence on Christ. We can rely on the Lord, finding hope through faith-building memories of God’s unchanging character and dependability, as Jeremiah did.
As we look ahead to the future, let us remember that God has always been and always will be faithful.
🙏Thank You, Lord, for using our past to reassure us that our hope is firmly rooted in Your unwavering stability.
