FAILURE IS IMPOSSIBLE!

NEHEMIAH 2:20A

Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906), was an American social reformer and women’s rights activist who played a crucial role in the fight for the right of women to vote in elections. Though she faced constant criticism and later an arrest, trial, and guilty verdict for voting illegally, she vowed to never give up the fight to grant women the right to vote, believing her cause was just. She did not live to see the fruit of her labour. In 1920, the nineteenth amendment to the Constitution gave women the right to vote.

Susan B. Anthony’s last formal statement about suffrage for women ended with the words, “Failure is impossible!”

Failure was not an option for Nehemiah either, because he had a Powerful Helper: God.

The opposition to the cause of rebuilding the walls came in the form of deception and threats, but he refused to let opposition discourage him.

God gave Nehemiah the strength to persevere in the face of opposition. Is there a task for which you are tempted to give up? Ask God to provide whatever you need to keep going, because for every child of His, who is working according to His agenda, failure is impossible.
