LUKE 19:1–10
A woman was walking through a crowd of people when she lost sight of her small boy. It goes beyond saying that the event was horrifying. She frantically called out his name, trying to find her little child by following her own path. Her son, happily, broke free from the crush and ran into her arms after what felt like hours of isolation.
The idea that this mother would have stopped at nothing to locate her child makes me feel thankful again for the incredible work God has done to save us. Since Adam and Eve, the first image-bearers, strayed off in sin, God has mourned the loss of relationship with His people. He sent His one and only Son to seek and save the lost in an extreme effort to mend the relationship (Luke 19:10).
We should be grateful that God went to such lengths to restore our relationship with Him through sending Jesus. We have been found because of Jesus, even though we were once lost!
🙏Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to reclaim undeserving people like me!
