PROVERBS 15:13–15
A man crossed the road without looking carefully. I slammed on the brakes, missing him. Startled, the man looked up and met my gaze. I smiled at him.
His face lit up with relief, and he lifted the corners of his own mouth in appreciation. I could not hear him, but I knew he was saying, “Thank you.”
There are moments when one should truly lament injustice, feel hopeless, and even angry. However, in the ordinary moments of life, a smile can bring comfort, hope, and the grace required to carry on.
Proverb 15:13 suggests that a smile stems from our inner state, enabling us to respond to unexpected situations with genuine joy and invite others to experience the same.
🙏Dear Father, fill my heart with joy today as I come in contact with those around me and impart to them the hope that only You can provide.
