EPHESIANS 6:18–19
Robert Hamlet’s song “Lady Who Prays for Me” was inspired by his mother’s morning prayers for her boys. A young mother, inspired by Hamlet’s song, committed to praying with her son. The heartwarming result was that the son returned with some children, revealing that their mothers did not pray with them, so he wanted his mom to do that.
Paul encourages prayer on all occasions, emphasising the importance of daily dependence on God in families. Teaching the importance of prayer through prayer is crucial, as it helps children understand the need to personally reach out to God in faith.
We give children a unique gift when we “start them off” with the example of a “sincere faith” in God (Proverbs 22:6; 2 Timothy 1:5). This assures them that God is always there to love, guide, and protect them.
🙏Lord, help us to make daily prayers to lessen our daily worries.
