JOHN 1:6-13
Warren Edward Buffet is a financial expert and one of the world’s wealthiest people. He is a business entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist from America. Berkshire Hathaway is currently led by him as chairman and CEO. He is regarded as one of the world’s most successful investors, with a net worth of more than $114 billion as of February 2022. But did you know that at the age of 19, he was turned down by Harvard Business School? He recalls a “feeling of dread” after a failed admissions interview, as well as concern about his father’s reaction to the news.
Even though rejection is painful, it does not have to keep us from doing what God wants us to do. Many of Jesus’ followers later rejected or denied Him, as did the people of Jesus’ hometown who doubted He was the Messiah. Jesus’ continued mission, like his rejection, was part of God’s plan for His Son. Jesus went on to heal the sick, cast out demons, and proclaim good news to the multitudes after enduring earthly rejection and knowing that the Father would look away from Him at Calvary (Matthew 27:46). Before His crucifixion, Jesus stated that He had completed the task that the Father had assigned to Him (John 17:4).
Do not quit if rejection is hindering you from doing the work God has called you to. Remember that Jesus understands and will always help those who come to Him.
