PSALM 63:3-5
Real love is something we cannot measure. The love God has for us is beyond numbers and cannot be tallied. When God promised to bless Abraham with countless children, He used the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore as a metaphor. These are things people simply cannot count. Paul described the love of Christ as surpassing knowledge (Ephesians 3:19). And the psalmist said it extends to the heavens (Psalm 36:5).
God’s love for us goes farther than even time itself, into the deep recesses of eternity.
Sometimes we get to a place in our life where we must be reminded that God loves us. There are times when we absolutely must know this above all else! It is the only thing that can bring us through what life hands us.
Remember beloved, that God’s love never quits, it never gives up on us, it satisfies completely, and it is available to us in an endless supply. He reveals it in His Word, in His creation, through others who love us, and especially in the salvation that is offered only through Jesus.
