DEUTERONOMY 5:28–33
He provided the builder with explicit specifications because he needed an underground water tank and understood exactly how he wanted it built. He was displeased to see that he had not followed his directions when he examined the project the following day. He had altered the strategy and, by extension, the outcome. His justification was just as annoying as his disregard for instructions.
He watched him redo the work, feeling frustrated, and contemplating how many times he needed to redo things in obedience to the Lord.
We often fail to obey God’s commands, like the ancient Israelites. However, obedience is a desired result of deepening our relationship with God. Moses and Jesus urged obedience and love.

Our surrender of hearts leads to well-being, and the Spirit assists in obedience, working in us to fulfill His good purpose (Philippians 2:13).
