DELIGHTFUL AROMA

2 CORINTHIANS 2:15

Some scents leave a lasting impression.

Oliver Wendell Holmes (1841–1935) once observed that remembrances, imagination, old sentiments, and connections are more quickly accessible through the sense of smell than through any other channel.

So what if we were to be a fragrance that drew people to God through our lives? According to Second Corinthians 2:15, both among the lost and the converted, we are the aroma of Christ to God. Though it also draws or repels people, our aroma is acceptable to God. We have the chance to serve as the fragrance of Christ, serving as a reminder of Jesus to others who are yet accept His sacrifice.

The appealing aroma of Christ’s likeness may create an attractive pull on people to turn to the Saviour.

When we walk with God, we leave a fragrant scent that may encourage others to do the same.

🙏🏼 Make our aromas appealing to men, O Lord.
