The New Testament proclaims that for those who believe in Christ, death is annihilated, reduced to inaction, and incapable of doing what it once did. Death is swallowed up in victory (1 Corinthians 15:54).
The birth of Jesus, which we celebrate at Christmas, was the beginning of the end of death.
Jesus Christ came into the world to do the same thing He did in Genesis 1 and 2: step into chaos to speak life and restore the boundaries to rightly order the world.
🙏Father, thank you that Jesus is ruling and reigning, and this very moment is at work and has placed death and chaos and destruction in submission at His feet. Amen.
