ISAIAH 49:14–16
He discovered an old grave that had a wooden marker one day while roaming around the farm. The writing was weathered away. Someone lived, died, and was forgotten. It was tragic. He looked into the history of the property for hours after he got home, but he could not find anything about the person who was buried there.
It is said that we all fade away, but the best of us is remembered for a hundred years. Our love for God and others endures, nevertheless, and is carried down through God’s family. For those who fear the Lord and honour His name, a book of remembrance was written according to Malachi 3:16–17.
Paul described David as having served God’s purpose in his generation before leaving (Acts 13:36). May we, like David, love the Lord, serve Him in our time, and be remembered for fulfilling His purpose.
Living for the Lord leaves a lasting legacy.
🙏 Lord Jesus, may Your children never be forgotten by You and by men. Amen.
