EPHESIANS 6:10–18
Teresa Prekerowa, a teenager in Poland during World War II, saved her Jewish neighbours from the Warsaw ghetto and the Nazi purge. She became a leading historian of the war and Holocaust, and her courage in standing against evil earned her the Righteous Among the Nations award at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem.
Courage is needed to stand against evil. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces. God provides us with the necessary spiritual resources to face unseen opposition and stand against the devil’s schemes.
What may this courageous stand entail? It could involve fighting injustice or stepping in to support a vulnerable or abused person you know. We may have courage no matter how the war unfolds because our God has already given us the means to fight evil.
