PSALM 103:2
“When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.”
When last did you count your blessings?
Part of the fall of man is a tendency to focus on the negative, and truly, there is plenty of that to go around. One bad minute can ruin our whole day or life. But what would it look like if we took time to focus on our blessings from God?
Everyday is a gift from God, and knowing that He loves us so much leads us to nothing less than gratitude and deep devotion.
