PSALM 94:19
Anxiety is the body’s natural response to emotional or physical tension. It is a feeling of fear or apprehension about what is to come. The first day at work, going to a job interview, or speaking to a crowd may cause most people to feel fearful and nervous.
If your feelings of anxiety are extreme, they may interfere seriously with your natural or spiritual life.
The psalmist points us to the One who calms every anxiety. Just as he found joy in the comforts of God, so can we as we take Scripture to heart, pour out our requests to Him, and always stay mindful of His presence with us. We may have many reasons to be afraid during this pandemic, but God has many comforts to restore hope to our souls.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)
