Life is full of choices. Having a life without choices is not good for anyone. A life without choices means someone else makes decisions for us.
God has given us free will to choose the path we travel. In His grace, He often provides us guidance to make our travels safer and more pleasurable. And even though we may not choose the best path God has intended for us, He can still show us mercy and bless our journey, especially when we choose to repent (Psalm 103:8).
